Ruyi Communications Limited consists of a team of seasoned and highly qualified professionals exhibiting considerable wealth of experience in their respective departments. The team is led by:
Chairman - Mr. Soni Irabor is an accomplished Broadcaster and speech communication
training expert with experience of over two decades in the field of Communication. His skills and
profound knowledge have their roots from his academic qualification in Mass Communication
obtained from the University of Lagos and Professional training with Radio Nigeria,
BBC London and the Voice of Germany.
Mr. Irabor was a member of the Advertising Standards Panel of APCON from 1993 to 2000. He is the brain behind the award winning programme "Soni Irabor Live"on African Independent Television (AIT). In 1999 alone, this outstanding prime time talk show won the Nigerian Media Merit Award (NMMA) and the ASCOM Award in the first quarter of year 2000. Mr. Irabor is the former Special Adviser on Information and Orientation, Edo State Government of Nigeria.
Managing Director - Mrs. Betty Irabor is a notable columnist in Nigeria. A seasoned Public Relations Practitioner, she is sensitive to consumer protection and has been in the Vanguard of Consumer Protection crusade since her days on the Features desk of the National Concord in the 1980s. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and holds a B.A in English and Philosophy from the University of Lagos. She is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management ( NIM ) and APCON. Mrs. Irabor is the Publisher of Genevieve magazine, the fastest growing life style magazine in Nigeria today.
General Manager - Mr. Lekan Ishola is one of Nigeria's young, well rounded brand builders.With over a decade's experience in diverse areas of brand building such as above-the-line , below-the-line and brand focused journalism, Lekan has developed the ability to see every brand from different but very insightful perspectives. A 1992 graduate of Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan and a well respected feature writer and brand analyst, Lekan has passed through the Media and Client Service departments of some of the nation's marketing communications firms such as McGrant Corporate Concepts, TL&A and Brand Support Services, among others. He is a member of APCON, NIPR and NUJ.
We have a team of over 30 permernent staff that oversee the day to day running of several departments which include Client services/Account Management, Stratergy & Planning, Creative, Production, Media, Finance, HR/PR, Research & Developement, Connections, TV/Radio and Print.
